UPSC CSE 2020 Results: Despite the heavy odds they faced, these 10 toppers never lost sight of their goal — cracking the UPSC exam to become Civil Service officers. Here are their inspiring stories.

Fighting child marriage, transforming schools, generating employment, making healthcare accessible — it has been a year of hard efforts. And as the year comes to an end, we would like to draw special attention to 10 such officers and their efforts, who have done all they could do, to make India better.

One of the youngest candidates appearing for the UPSC 2018 exams, Pradeep, the son of a petrol pump serviceman, cracked the exams in his first attempt at the age of 22!

A native of Salva village in the Mendhar district, Dr Rehana Basheer had never thought that she would pursue civil services as a career option, let alone secure an excellent rank.

This is not the first time such a proposal has been made. The recommendation was initially put forth by UPSC three years ago and was cleared by the Cabinet.
