NPTEL is a project of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology and IISc, Bangalore to provide quality education to anyone interested in learning from the IITs.

An ex-IES officer, Swaroop is now a motivational speaker who also runs an academy to train students for various competitive examinations.

The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 88 non-teaching vacancies.

Since students can now appear for this examination twice, the better of the two scores will be used for the purpose of ranking as per the regulations laid by the authorities.

So far, they have generated enough electricity to light-up LED table lamps and calculators.
