Researchers Dr Vishal Mishra and Veer Singh from IIT-BHU have found a unique bacteria that can remove the toxic hexavalent chromium metal from wastewater in a cost-effective way.
The new composite material is made of graphene and alloy of platinum and palladium in the form of nanoparticles. The use of metal particle of certain orientation which absorb or interact with CO at lower energy helped the conversion.
There have been other methods of extraction but there have always been shortcomings. This new method will extract the oil more efficiently with little to no shortcomings.
