Researchers Dr Vishal Mishra and Veer Singh from IIT-BHU have found a unique bacteria that can remove the toxic hexavalent chromium metal from wastewater in a cost-effective way.

Yasjraj and Yuvraj Bhardwaj are the co-founder of Zenith Vipers, an organisation meant to encourage school students to take up research projects and help them in the process. Together, the duo has come up with the prototype of a purifier that uses bajra to extract heavy metals from water.
