No proper road, no water supply — this drought-hit village used to be deprived of even the basic amenities. But then, as a villager says, "Kalam sir showed us the path to develop our village"!

These villagers have come up with a simple solution to keep their only source of water recharged to ensure there is a continuous supply through the scorching summers.

Today, the waste management system of this Rajasthan village is in alignment with the Swachh Bharat Mission and is being considered as a replicable model for the entire district. This is a result of the efforts put in by two engineers – Kavya Raman and Shuvam Das Choudhury.
