Known for showing satellite imagery, topography and 3D buildings, the latest addition in Google Earth intends to offer a lot more than just basic information about a place!

Separated from his older brother at a train station in 1986, 5-year-old Saroo found himself lost in the slums of Calcutta. A quarter of a century later, now settled in Australia, he painstakingly searched for his family using Google Earth and, incredible as it may sound, found his way home.

Imagine yourself touring the snow clad mountains of the Himalayas with an extremely friendly five hundred foot tall Yeti! This whacky yet interesting idea has been turned into reality by tech giant Google’s latest offering - Verne: the Himalayas.
