Hailing from a small village in West Bengal, Ankit Pramanik has spent the last few years researching the impact of climate change in the Arctic Circle.

Glaciers are said to be one of the most important indicators of climate change. Scientists from the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Goa have set up a research station at 4,500 metre altitude in the Himalayas to study climate change.
