The Rajasthan government has ordered the launch of four such environmental initiatives in its state-run engineering colleges with the idea of eco-conservation in celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

With over 12,000 registrations from over 600 colleges of engineering KPIT Sparkle saw some ingenious talent in innovation.

At a budget of over Rs 370 crore, this initiative by the Centre is aimed to help state governments fill up vacancies in backward districts in 11 states where engineering students were suffering because of a shortage of teachers
