From weekend nature getaways to full-time conservationists, Paulmathi and Vinod are restoring forests, documenting biodiversity, and practising slow travel way ahead of its time.

Wildlife conservationist Sharvan Patel is using a WhatsApp group of 1,000 members, each contributing Rs 365 annually, to restore habitats, protect endangered species, and improve farming practices in Rajasthan.

Efforts over the last three years, have resulted in the defunct bund being transformed into a linear park with tracks for walking and cycling, which connect the city’s residential neighbourhoods.
