With the dawn of the Digi Yatra Biometric Boarding System, passengers won’t have to rely on printing boarding passes. They can just walk through security scanners that will provide an advanced biometric security solution.

From Aadhaar-enabled entry to biometric boarding systems, the rationale behind the move is to transform it into the country’s first smart airport.

Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) is now offering e-boarding facility to domestic fliers, becoming the first airport in India to do so. Passengers will only need a mobile e-boarding card and their Aadhaar card number to enter the airport terminal and directly proceed towards the flight.
