Dr. Abhay Bang

It’s been 30 years since Dr Rani Bang and her husband, Dr Abhay Bang, dedicated their lives to the social and educational upliftment of the lowest of the low, in Maharashtra’s tribal district of Gadchiroli.

Through their organisation SEARCH, Dr. Rani Abhay Bang and her husband Dr. Abhay Bang have brought hope, love, and social upliftment to thousands of vulnerable tribal communities in Maharashtra.

Manayali village in Maharashtra not only became water secure but also managed to provide a solution to a small Banjara community that lives 3 km away from it -- through community participation.
