While the Google Doodle is commemorating women, Kaveri feels that for her the theme of womanhood isn’t necessarily central to her work.

"My father always inspired me to swim against the current," says Debasmita Dasgupta, the creator of 'My Father Illustrations'.

The doodle shows on Google's homepages in India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Iceland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, and Lithuania.
