She dreamt of becoming a doctor since childhood. Looking back, she says, “I played a doctor in all my pretend play games. I used to go around giving everyone fake injections.”

While the cost of this surgery in a private hospital is approximately 2 lakh. While the financially well-off can afford treatments and surgeries, the underprivileged are left out.
