The new set of guidelines by the Department of Personnel and Training will no longer make it easy for corrupt bureaucrats and government employees to flee the country.

The application will let a superannuating central government official monitor the progress of his or her pension settlement and allow retired officials to check details of their pension amounts through the pension calculator.

If all goes according to plan, Indian citizens will now have to fill only single-page forms to avail the benefits of various government services. This is a new practice that is being set in motion as part of citizen-centricity in governance.
