Delhi International Airport has taken another major step toward its goal of becoming a Net-zero carbon emission airport by 2030. The Airport is now completely run on solar energy and hydropower.
According to a statement made by AAI, all airports will gradually become plastic-free, and this is the first step that the authority is taking towards achieving that goal.
So the next time you set foot into either Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport or Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), remember you are in one of the world’s best airports - ranked number one by the Airports Council International (ACI), a trade association of 1,953 airports in 176 countries.
While the colour of the uniform will remain the same, the new uniform carries the logo of 'India Post' on the pocket and the cap, along with red stripes on shoulders and shoulder blade.
