A video of a Delhi-based flute vendor playing a popular Hindi song went viral on social media but he is struggling to make ends meet since the nationwide lockdown.

Many state governments, and private organisations have launched free job portals which will help employers and workers connect.

The government has specified that those visiting these premises should practice social distancing, wear masks while exercising, and face shields while doing yoga.

“We were not able to step out from our sheds as policemen were threatening to beat us if we were found outside. My family of eight was in dire need of help, but why would anyone look at us? What identity did we have in society? We had thought that no help would be offered to us.”
