Naseema Khatoon, born and raised in Chaturbhuj Sthan, a red-light district in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, experienced the harsh stigma faced by sex workers and their children first-hand. Determined to create change, she founded Jugnu in 2004, a publication that amplifies the voices of the marginalised. The first edition, a heartfelt four-page photocopy, was made with local support.

Tara Mobile Creches Pune believes every child deserves education, healthcare, & a secure future. Through its mobile creches, it has supported the development of 1 lakh children from migrant families.

Plan India Impact Awards 2018 was held in New Delhi on July 27, where eminent personalities like Amitabh Kant and Shabana Azmi were the chief guests.

The Bal Mitra Gram initiative is helping children in Indian villages become aware of their rights. 10-year-old Laxman Yadav is acutely aware of his rights, and successfully fought for them when he faced unfair treatment in his Jharkhand village.
