"I was pregnant with my daughter, when my son was diagnosed with ADHD. For the next four years or so, no doctor even mentioned the possibility of Autism, so when I heard this, it shattered me. I remember crying uncontrollably for the next few days, but I was not ready to let that fail me. Instead, I was stubborn and changed my problems into my strength! And my daughter, Prerna was instrumental in this," she shares.

“The books are then brought to our warehouse in West Delhi, which also doubles up as a library. We, along with the help of about 40 volunteers and interns, sort through every book, the ones that are torn, or not in good condition are sent for recycling while the good ones are stacked up for circulation.”

When she was a little more than a year old, Amita told her about the adoption and her birth mother through stories and pictures.

“I am a fighter. I do not give up, and am almost always ready to take on whatever comes my way.”

21 years later, Manish says that he is very proud of what he did that day. “I felt very proud of it actually, and to this day, I feel proud—for both, my near-failing grade and my owning up the failure as an 18-year-old.”

There's a general rule of thumb when you're thinking of donating old clothes: would you give it to a friend? If the answer is yes, then you could go right ahead. If the answer is no, because the clothes are torn, dirty or unusable, it would be better to find alternate uses/options.
