Nine years after the 26/11 carnage jolted India, here's a status check on whether Mumbai is prepared to tackle another situation of similar magnitude.

The process incorporates a freshly created national database that will include the offenses of criminals under the Home Ministry’s Crime and Criminal Tracking Networks and Systems (CCTNS) initiative.

The CCTNS project is an ambitious initiative that proposes to automate 14,000 police stations in the country.
