Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)

Mumbai's BMC has an imposing and impressive statue of this man outside the main building.

The members have installed a compost machine, and today, most of the wet waste generated is transformed into compost and used on the gymkhana's cricket field. They supply the surplus to the BMC and neighbouring societies.

The River March group consists of 150 citizens who have taken it upon themselves to clean a dirty river flowing along Mumbai and the areas surrounding the water body.
