For five years now, real life hero Chandra Kishore Patil from Nashik has been guarding the Godavari by stopping people from dumping their garbage into the river.

These actions serve as perfect examples and can be taken up by other states as well.

About 28 individuals from the community are directly involved in the process and make use of five trawlers to retrieve the plastic waste from the sea.
