Baksa

Baksa district in Assam is a shining example for the rest of the country. Why? It has managed to ward off drought by using an indigenous irrigation system, the Dongh Bandh. The irrigation canal system is managed by the local community.

This is the first village to have a reverse osmosis plant in the region.
