A few villagers heard her cries and immediately knew that something was wrong. They reached the ditch and after assessing the situation, called up the Uttarakhand forest department.

It took several hours for the villagers to rescue the calf, but they didn't give up.

A baby elephant fell in a deep dry well in Andhra Pradesh. It tried its best to come out, but all in vain. Finally, the rescue team came on the spot and helped the elephant escape. Watch the cute footage here.
