Enrolled as Cadet no 001, Priya Jhingan became the first woman cadet to join the Indian Army alongside a batch of 25 other feisty women – the first batch of women who became trailblazers for women in the armed forces.
This 18-month-old startup has developed waterless personal hygiene products such as shampoo and body baths, capable of efficiently removing dirt, dust, grease, odour and oil from the skin and head. All omitting the very mechanism of ‘rinsing’ and using ‘water’ in the first place!
Although the original Shanti Sena no longer exists as a formal organization due of ideological differences, the idea still lives on through individuals engaging in such actions under other banners.
Out of the 44 racers who qualified, only nine men reached the finish line. With an average speed of 10.86 miles an hour, Srinivas made it to the seventh spot.
