After two years of experiments and tests, researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur have invented an eco-friendly packaging material from cucumber peels.

Nath competed with over 20 innovators at the two-day 'Innovation Festival' in Guwahati, held by Indian Council for Science Museum in association with the National Innovation Foundation.

The innovation with its amazing possibilities managed to bag the second prize at the MIT Innovation Challenge and will soon find financial backing for developing working prototypes.
