47 Years After the Indo-Pak War Left Him Disabled, This Hero Won the Land He Was Entitled

This war hero was left disabled 47 years ago after he sustained some grievous bullet injuries to his leg during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. However, despite his medical condition, he continued to serve the army until 1975, which worsened his injuries to the extent that resulted in his left leg becoming permanently disabled. He was discharged from the army on December 30, 1975.

92-year-old Lt Gen Jack Farj Rafael Jacob passed away on Wednesday, in New Delhi’s Army Hospital. He was suffering from pneumonia and had been admitted on January 1. A renowned Indian Army officer who was best known for his role in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 that led to the creation of Bangladesh, JFR Jacob will always be remembered for his immense courage.
