1948 Volkswagen Beetle

From the 1946 Volkswagen Beetle to the 1936 Austin 10, Mohammad Jawaad Khan is pioneering the conversion of fossil fuel guzzling vintage cars into electric vehicles in India with his startup Tadpole Projects, while also doing the same for modern IC-engine four-wheeler vehicles.

Major (Retd) Manjit Rajain donated his classic car to be converted into an EV, where a 15 KW electric motor and 120 Ah lithium-ion battery were added. But 90 per cent of the 1948 Volkswagen Beetle remains untouched.
