The Supreme Court has decided to extend the mandatory linking of Aadhaar with services until the Constitutional Bench passes its judgement.

It is essentially a document that sets out a patient's wishes regarding how they want to be treated if they are seriously ill. With this judgement, the right to die with dignity has been recognised as a fundamental right.

"Human beings have the right to die with dignity," the bench said while announcing the ruling.

The National Crime Records Bureau stated that a total of 326 incidents of child marriages had been reported in the country in 2016. Officials fear that the actual number is far higher than this.

A live-in relationship gives the couple an opportunity to know the partner without having to engage into a legally binding relationship.

Intended to bring in more transparency, the landmark order comes ahead of elections in several states!

In January, the Supreme Court had asked all states and union territories to submit affidavits about the specifics these funds.
