The Mumbai-based organisation has been bringing holistic food and nutrition to underprivileged children fighting cancer since 2011 through a nationwide network of collaborations with hospitals and nutritionists.

There is no denying that teachers play an incredibly significant role in shaping the minds of their students. In fact, given the amount of time a child spends in school, it would not be wrong to say that they become the first port of call for students, in times of distress.

Delhi-based, 'The Toy Bank' is having an impact on kids all across the nation.

"I swam towards the accident site and saw my mother. The currents were so strong that I could only grab her by the hair. Then I reached for her hand and pulled her to the pillar."

Teachers should work towards providing an environment that is conducive to interactions instead of simply trying to complete the coursework allotted to them.

And though the pain of not being able to donate their daughter's organs continues to twist a knife in the hearts of the young couple, they decided to make the day special by funding the open heart surgery of an unprivileged four-year-old child.

The videos shared in the group were not just a horrible expression of twisted sexuality, but also highly illegal.

Most people fail to realise that these kids have the same potential to be friends with other kids their age. Accept that kids with special needs are different, just as all individuals are different from each other.

“About two years before my retirement. I started getting actively involved in social causes. Since I spent most of my younger days ensuring that I provided well for my family, I wanted to do something meaningful for those less fortunate.”

Conceptualised by Navjyoti and executed in association with four volunteers namely Ruchi Dhona, Rajat Dua, Ashima Singh and Vishu Gupta from Bain & Company, Let’s Open a Book, opened eight community libraries. Through the medium of reading, it has been transforming the lives of hundreds of children in these villages.
