Running in more than 180 schools for the last year, it has collected and prevented more than 22 lakh multi-layered plastic packets/sachets from exhausting landfills!

After watching her father donating food and clothes to flood survivors, little Tunisha asked him, "But you did not collect schools bags, books or stationery for the children. How will they go to school now?”

It has taken 20 years to hit 2 lakh children. But they are all out there – rescuing, protesting and standing up for what’s right!

The central idea was to have a citizen force that collected plastic waste from multiple sources in their neighborhoods – homes, shops, etc.

Whether it is just your kid playing by themselves, a family game night or even a weekly meet of all the neighbourhood little ones, there is a game for everyone!

When asked how else she is trying to bring this to Disney’s attention, she smiles, and says, “I am hoping that with these articles and social media posts we can create enough of a buzz to grab their attention.”

“When I was in grade 9, I started taking an active interest in working on issues around air pollution. I have worked with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Delhi Metro, and also with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on various issues pertaining to the environment,” says the proactive teenager.

"These parents, who are migrant labourers, don't have a safe place to leave their children. Although I cannot guarantee all of them will go to formal schools, but I can guarantee their care for those four hours in a day, feeding, educating and even getting them fresh pairs of clothes."

"We found vagrant kids working in fishing factories, scrap yards, chai shops, shoe polish stalls and even as domestic help or ragpickers. We brought them together and sat them in a class."

"If their kids fall sick, the impoverished families do not visit even a government hospital. They fear that if they skip work for the hospital visit, they would lose the day’s wages and the entire family has to go hungry."
