A dedicated team of 13-15 forest officials successfully rescued a trapped and injured 700kg rhino calf on Independence Day.

Shared by IFS Parveen Kaswan on 'X', the young animal, estimated to be four years old, was found immobilised in the mud and unable to walk, requiring urgent intervention.

Faced with the challenge of terrain that was inaccessible to machinery and the rhino's immense weight, the team displayed incredible bravery and strength. They carried the calf on their shoulders through mud and dense forest for some distance before using heavy machinery to transport the animal to safety.
