Here’s an initiative by @beautifulbharatorg and the #ZeroWasteCollective to help street vendors go plastic-free!

At Bengaluru’s iconic Kadalekayi Parishe (Groundnut Fair), nearly 1 lakh eco-friendly newspaper bags replaced banned plastic. This citywide campaign brought together students, RWAs, and volunteers, ensuring vendors had sustainable alternatives to plastic bags.

The clip features Aruna, a groundnut vendor from Tamil Nadu, being guided by @odettekatrak on making sturdy newspaper bags in under a minute! Vendors like Aruna are now taking this skill back to their villages, creating ripples of change.
