The Water Warriors Who Fixed 2200+ Roadside Taps

Ajay Mittal and Vijay Agarwal have repaired over 2,200 leaking roadside taps—saving millions of litres of clean water. It all started when Vijay saw water gushing from a leaking tap near his son’s school.

Instead of walking away, he called his friend Ajay. They used their savings, hired a plumber, and began repairing taps—one by one. Their initiative, Fix It For Life, has now become a citywide movement. “Resources are limited. If we misuse them, we steal from someone else. It’s time we became mindful,” they say.
