When veteran actor Ashok Saraf boarded his flight from Delhi to Mumbai after receiving the Padma Shri, he was in for a heartwarming surprise.
“Today’s journey is very special because my uncle, Ashok Saraf, is flying with us,” said Captain Aditi Paranjpe. “It’s a proud moment to fly alongside him.”
Soon, the cabin erupted in applause, leaving Saraf visibly moved.
On May 27, 2025, President Droupadi Murmu honored Ashok Saraf with the Padma Shri for his outstanding contributions to Indian cinema.
