When Harshal’s mother-in-law saw her cherished Paithani saree wearing out, she knew it deserved more than just a goodbye. So, with the help of a local tailor, she gave it a new life—as a cozy razai!
And just like that, a treasured piece of tradition was reborn.
This isn’t new to us—our grandmothers turned sarees into kantha quilts, old dupattas into dusting cloths, and frayed silk into beautiful bags. Sustainability has always been woven into Indian traditions.
