The Pench Tiger Reserve is celebrating a remarkable comeback for its striped residents.
But did you know? The tiger population here has doubled!
From 33 tigers in 2006 to 87 in 2021 (Madhya Pradesh) and from 9 in 2008 to 44 in 2021 adjoining Maharashtra, Pench is now a beacon of hope for tiger conservation.
This incredible success is a result of dedicated efforts in habitat protection and ensuring plentiful prey.
