Abandoned by the panicked herd, the paralysed elephant calf was discovered in a field beside the tracks.Suffering from significant injuries on her spine, hips, and legs, the little one was unable to stand.

Thanks to the treatment provided by the Uttarakhand Forest Department, Wildlife SOS and her dedicated caregivers at the Elephant Hospital, Bani is now recovering.

To help her beat the heat, her caregivers created this mud pool that's filled with fresh, cool water everyday. The mud bath also protects her skin from the sun's rays as well as insects.Unsurprisingly, Bani loves her pool time! :heart:Hats off to the heroes behind these heartwarming rescue stories.Credits: @wildlifesos#Elephant #WildlifeRescue #ElephantHospital #Mathura #Heartwarming #Heatwave[Elephant Rescue, Elephant Hospital, Mathura, Wildlife Rescue, Heatwave, Summer]
