His Pad Bank is Helping 50,000+ Girls Stay in School

New Update

When a man took on periods—everything changed.
Pad Bank by Aashraya Seth now keeps 50,000 girls in school using a ₹2,500 non-electric vending machine that dispenses biodegradable pads in school washrooms.
After working with IIT Bombay and consulting for state governments, Aashraya discovered a harsh reality: 1 in 5 girls drops out after puberty simply because they can’t afford sanitary pads.
He faced taboos and awkward silences—but never stopped. Today, he’s also helping 5,000 women earn by making reusable cloth pads.
“We need all genders to step up—talk, volunteer, donate.
Periods aren’t just a women’s issue—they’re everyone’s responsibility,” he says.
