When Arun Kumar saw food being wasted at weddings and tech events, he didn’t look away—he took action. Since 2018, he and his team at No Food Waste have rescued surplus food from across Chennai and turned it into 40,000+ meals every month for those who need it most.
From slums to shelters, even a community kitchen runs daily to serve the hungry. All this while battling low awareness, few volunteers, and limited funds. But Arun never stopped. “Take one small step—share leftover food. You could be the reason someone sleeps with a full stomach tonight”, he shares.
