For 5 years, Sakshi Bhardwaj has been growing forests in India’s concrete jungles—one patch at a time. From old bottles in her balcony to 6 thriving mini jungles across Bhopal, Delhi, Indore, and Gwalior, she’s bringing nature back to our cities.

Even after planting, she keeps checking in—because, as she says, “Trees aren’t meant to be commercialised.” Sakshi now leads Jungle Vase, works with sustainable landscaping, and has even represented India at COP29.
