Shocked by the brutal gang rape and murder of a young girl, Bengal constable Kaushav Sanyal made a life-changing decision. Since 2013, he has trained 60,000+ girls—and even teachers and married women—in self-defence, free of cost.
From travelling 150+ km after night shifts to training in remote villages, his mission to empower women hasn’t stopped. Today, his students not only defend themselves but have also made India proud at international tournaments. "Defend yourself first. Attack, if necessary, like a fierce tiger," he shares.
