Towering 359 metres above the Chenab River, the Chenab Railway Bridge stands as the highest railway arch bridge in the world — a triumph of engineering and resolve.

Spanning 1,315 metres across the rugged terrains of Jammu and Kashmir, this marvel is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) project. For the first time, it will connect New Delhi directly to the Kashmir Valley via Katra by rail, weaving Kashmir closer to the rest of India.

Built to endure earthquakes and withstand the fierce winds of the Himalayas, the bridge is designed for both strength and resilience. Soon, the first Vande Bharat trains will cross this arch, marking a new era of connectivity, opportunity, and progress for the region.
