Bengaluru Friends’ Unique Bank Sells Clothes for Just ₹1

Started by Vinod, Vignesh, Melisha & Nitin, it began as a college project.
But during the pandemic, they saw daily-wage workers and migrant families struggling for basic clothing.

Pooling their savings and collecting donations, they launched a ₹1 Clothes Bank—where the poor could shop with dignity. With no volunteers or space, they began from a kind stranger’s apartment. Today, they’ve helped over 25,000 people and revived 3–4 lakh garments.

“Youth must rise—by volunteering or donating. Helping the vulnerable is everyone’s responsibility,” they say.
