Abhinav Yadav started his channel ‘Create Your Taste’ on Instagram during the first lockdown. It now helps local artisans of Varanasi showcase and sell their handmade bamboo, jute and cane products.

From 2,000 oysters, the Pathak family's Udes Pearl Farms now has over 31,000 oysters, with farms across eight districts in Uttar Pradesh.

Thanks to solar energy, weavers in Varanasi no longer have to sit ideally every time there is a power cut or work extra hours to meet the orders.

"When the research was published, the government made this warning mandatory. It upset a lot of baby food companies. And today, we are saving babies because of this knowledge," says Varanasi's 91-year-old Annapurna Shukla.
