“Our ancestors built and lived in homes that served all their needs. These houses were well ventilated while we need ACs now. Almost three generations would end up living in these homes!” says home owner Jawahar C.
“If I had opted for conventional structure, it would’ve taken a lot of time and also more money. I haven’t faced any kind of difficulty in terms of maintenance,” says Singh, a happy customer.
"A 1000 sq ft home built by us can save upto 5 lakh litres of water every year just by saving the rain water and recycling the waste water from the house," says co-founder Dilipan.
“Everything for me began at Matruchhaya, the orphanage in Goa. I was brought there when I was two, and no one knew who my parents were. I spent my growing up years there wanting answers but didn't know where to look for them,” she says.
This home runs on fresh air and sunlight. Built on a 220 sq ft plot, the home is equipped with solar panels and a sewage managing unit, and can accommodate up to six people. It took two months and cost about Rs 1.5 lakh.
