Watch: Brave UP Cop Drags Blazing Cylinder to Pond, Averts Major Tragedy!

A blazing cylinder could have claimed lives in Mauranipur, Jhansi, earlier this month. But a display of exemplary bravery by a cop averted this tragedy.

In a viral video posted by the Uttar Pradesh police on their official Twitter handle, Mauranipur City Police Inspector Premchand can be seen dragging a burning gas cylinder with a rope to a nearby pond.

According to Zee News, the incident occurred when a man was making tea at his home. The report states that the cylinder caught fire unexpectedly. Locals quickly alerted the police of the incident.

The cop was in a meeting at the time, but he wasted no time in rushing to the spot. Once he reached there, he tried to douse the fire with a wet blanket. But to no avail.

He then tied a rope to it and dragged it to the nearby pond. Towards the end of the video, another youth can be seen helping the cop drag it further into deep waters.

Officers like Premchand reinstate our faith in uniformed men who always put the lives and safety of citizens before their own. Here’s hoping that his bravery is adequately appreciated by the department.
