Torrential rains have inundated many parts of Telangana, causing widespread disruption as lakes, tanks, and streams overflow.

In one such incident, a 50-year-old daily wage labourer was swept away while attempting to cross a flooded culvert. However, thanks to a swift rescue operation by local police and residents, a tragedy was averted.

Head Constable Abdul Taqi Khan and Constable Mudavath Ramu spotted the man clinging to a shrub in the swollen Naganul Vagu in Nagarkurnool.

Without hesitation, the officers braved strong currents, and with the help of local youths who used an SUV to divert the water, they formed a human chain and successfully rescued the man.
This heroic act, captured on video and shared by @TelanganaCOPs on X, highlights the bravery and dedication of both the officers and the community in times of crisis.
