What if your donated clothes could help keep the homeless warm in winter and prevent global warming?

With just Rs 350, you can #DonateABlanket, help the homeless stay warm, and protect the planet by saving up to 63 kg of carbon emissions.

How can a blanket cut carbon emissions? By being made by upcycling old clothes donated by people.

For this unique endeavour, The Better India has partnered with the ‘Clothes Box Foundation’, led by 32-year-old Sajan Veerr Abrol. Together, we aim to bring warmth to people on the streets by distributing 1500 upcycled blankets.

Each kg of fabric recycled saves up to 31 kg of CO2 equivalents, says Sajan, adding that until now the venture has saved “over 23,126 tonnes of CO2 and repurposed 7,46,000 kg of clothes"!

Loved the idea of helping the homeless while protecting the planet? Join us in extending a warm hand on these cold winter days.
