Air Travel Update: Temporary Changes & How They May Affect Your Plans Post Operation Sindoor

As India launched precision strikes on terror camps across the border under Operation Sindoor, air travel  northern India came to a standstill.

Airports Affected - Flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, Dharamshala, Chandigarh, Rajkot, Bhuj, and others have been suspended or delayed. Rajkot and Bhuj airports will remain completely shut for civilian flights till May 10.

IndiGo Over 160 IndiGo flights have been cancelled. All operations to/from Jammu, Srinagar, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Jodhpur, and Bikaner are suspended. Passengers can reschedule or claim refunds via the IndiGo website.

Air India Air India has suspended flights to/from Amritsar, Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot till May 10. International flights heading to Amritsar have been rerouted to Delhi.  Affected passengers are eligible for a full refund or a one-time reschedule waiver.

Alliance Air Flights to/from Shimla, Bhatinda, Amritsar, Bhuj, and Chandigarh are cancelled for the day. Passengers are advised to check updates before travelling.

SpiceJet Flights to/from Dharamshala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, and Amritsar are cancelled until further notice. Passengers can opt for a full refund or choose alternate flights, based on availability.

Air India Express Flights are suspended to/from Amritsar, Jammu, Srinagar, and Hindon until Wednesday midday.

Akasa Air All flights to Srinagar are halted as the airport remains closed for civil flights. Passengers are advised to check flight status online before heading to the airport.
