The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is recruiting retired officials for the post of consultant on a contract basis.

The opening is for retired officials from Central Government/ State Government/ PSU/Autonomous Bodies who have considerable experience in the functioning of Central Government Ministries/Departments.

As per the official notification, there are 12 vacancies for the post and the maximum age limit for the post is 63 years.

The candidates must have a BE/BTech in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical / Electronics and Communication / Electrical Engineering with aero-engine electrical / aircraft electrical systems experience. Candidates with masters in relevant disciplines will be preferred.

The selected candidates will be paid a sum of Rs 80,000 to Rs 2,40,000 per month.

Candidates would be assigned to cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Koraput, Nasik, and Kanpur.
